Steel Wire Ropes for Open-Pit Mining

Haggie’s vast experience in the supply of ropes to open-cast mining operations, enables the Company to recommend and supply wire ropes which provide optimum performance. Wire ropes for face shovels must be able to withstand repeated bending, shockloading and high radial pressures. Ropes used on draglines must also offer resistance to abrasion and plastic deformation.
