State of loading | Nominal load spectrum factor, K_{p} | Descriptive definition |

Q1 Light | 0.5 | Cranes that hoist the safe working load very rarely and normally light loads |

Q2 Modarate | 0.63 | Cranes that hoist the safe working load fairly frequently ang normally moderate loads |

Q3 Heavy | 0.8 | Cranes that hoist the safe working load frequently ang normally heavy loads |

Q4 Very Heavy | 1 | Cranes that a normally loaded close to safe working load |

Load spectrum factor can be calculated using the following method.

P_{1} - load corresponding to cycle C_{1}

P_{max }- rated load

C_{1 }, C_{2 }, etc. - No. of cycles which occur at individual lifted loads P_{1 },P_{2 }, etc.

C_{t }- total No. of cycles
